''Boa Vista'' [] (Portuguese for'' beautiful view '') was a German literary magazine, founded in Hamburg in 1974〔See Prefaces in Boa Vista, Journal of New Literature. Publisher Udo Breger, Göttingen; October 1974, p. 5 (without pagination )〕 and published until 1983.〔Cf. SCENE No 12 , December 1977, p 17〕
The magazine came out at irregular intervals and produced ten issues.〔Cf. ''DIE ZEIT'' No 41, 30 September 1977 and also ''DIE ZEIT'' No 43, October 1977〕
==Approach and authors==
With recourse to Dada, surrealism and the narrative forms of Beat – and Cut-up literature, ''Boa Vista'' entirely focused on experimental poetry and prose. Its regular or temporary employees included the following writers and artists :
